Car Return Policy Before Contract Termination:
- For per-minute bookings, the minimum booking duration is 15 minutes.
- If the user does not manually end the trip by the originally selected end date and time, the system will automatically extend the booking in 15-minute increments, subject to vehicle availability. This automated extension may continue for up to a maximum of 3 additional hours. If the trip remains active beyond this 3-hour grace period, the booking will automatically be converted to a full-day rental. The user will not be charged additional late fees beyond the daily rate; however, standard daily rental rates and any applicable usage or mileage fees will apply for the extended period.
Note: If the full duration of the original or extended 15-minute period is not used, you will not be eligible for any refund for the unused time.
- For daily bookings, the minimum rental period is 24 hours. The booking will be automatically extended by the hour if the trip is not ended, with the extension automatically applied to the first three hours of the new day, not exceeding the vehicle's daily rate. If you cancel after signing the vehicle rental contract, you will need to pay all rental fees (calculated at daily rates) and other outstanding amounts (excess mileage, damages, fines, etc.).
- For weekly or monthly bookings, the minimum rental period is 24 hours. You acknowledge that each extension period is considered a new booking period, and the cost is calculated based on the extension duration, not the total booking duration.
End the trip
- Stop the vehicle within the boundaries of ekar city shaded in green on the application and fulfill the conditions for vehicle stoppage.
- Make sure that the fuel rate in ekar vehicle is not less than 25%.If the booking in PPM,Make sure that the fuel rate must not be less than 25% to end the trip without incurring a fine.
If the booking is daily, weekly, or monthly, the fuel must be refilled to the same level as when the vehicle was received to avoid a fine.
- Make sure that you take all personal belongings from the vehicle before getting off, taking into account that ekar will not be responsible for lost personal belongings.
- Return the key to the front drawer.
- Get off the vehicle and make sure that the windows and doors are closed.
- End the trip through the application and complete the steps of disclaimer.
Notice: In the event that the application shows that the reservation is continuing in spite of ending the trip and making sure that the ending steps are complete, please call the Customer Service Center at 920031219.
What if when I upload photos to end the reservation, I get an error message (Cannot end the reservation. ignition is on)?
Notice: You may encounter this problem when you end the trip in underground parking areas (basement), due to poor communication with the vehicle.
You may encounter a problem in uploading photos to end the trip and receive an error message denoting that the vehicle works. Once you upload the photos, just wait for 3 minutes as a maximum, and re-click on ending reservation and the trip will be ended accordingly.
What if the camera does not work when I try to upload photos?
In this case, you must make sure that the application allows the use of camera through the following:
- Go to the mobile settings.
- Click on ekar App.
- Activate the camera feature.
How can I cancel my vehicle authorization?
The authorization is canceled automatically through the electronic authorization system within no more than 10 minutes. You can always make sure of cancellation by signing into your account in (Absher), and selecting (Authorized Vehicles).
In case you do not receive the message, call the Customer Service Center at 920031219.
Are there specific parking areas to end the trip?
You can end your trip at any parking area within the shaded city of ekar on the application. However, you must first make sure that you are not at the following non-allowed parking areas:
- Private, paid, or time-limited parking areas.
- Underground or multi-storey parking areas.
- Any parking areas violating traffic laws or where parking is forbidden.
- Any parking areas near the military districts.
- In front of commercial and residential gates, private garages, or any places that may cause harm to others.
- On rough roads or areas unregistered under Saudi Law.
Notice: In case of violating parking, a fee will be imposed. You can view the details of fees in the Violations Section.
When will the fees of trip are deducted?
Trip fees are deducted in advance.
If the booking is PPM, two-hour fees will be deducted at the start of the trip.
If the booking is daily, weekly, or monthly, the fees will be deducted before the trip begins.
What if I lose some personal belongings in the vehicle?
You must make sure that you take all personal belongings from the vehicle before getting off. In case you lose some personal belongings, call the Customer Service Center to report and we will call you if we find them, taking into account that ekar is not responsible for lost personal belongings.
