What are the conditions for registering in ekar App?

To be an ekar member, you must fulfill the following conditions:

• Hold a valid driver's license from one of the following: Saudi Arabia, an international license, any GCC country, the USA, the UK, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, a European country, Japan, Russia, China, or South Korea.
• Have an independent account in Absher (you must meet the national data verification requirements through the Yaqeen service).
• Register by adding the mobile number registered in Absher to receive the authorization message.

Registration method:

1- From the main menu, click on Register

2- Enter your personal information

• Valid email

• A password that meets the conditions below: not less than 8 characters, it must contain both lowercase and uppercase letters, and it contains special symbols, for example: @ - _

After logging in, you must follow the following steps:

• Confirm the registered email (A verification mail will be sent to the registered email)

• Enter the mobile number (A verification message will be sent to the registered number)

• Insert card details for payment

Update Account Information:

If you have a Saudi license, you will be asked to enter the following:

• National ID/Iqama number
• License expiry date

If you do not have a Saudi license, you will be asked to provide photos of the following:

• Main passport page
• Selfie with the main passport page
• Front of the driver's license
• Back of the driver's license
• Visa page from the passport
• Border number from the passport
• Entry stamp from the passport

Please note: There is a non-refundable fee of 20 SAR for document verification.

Can I register with an international or non-Saudi driving license?

The only accepted licenses currently are the Saudi license or a license from one of the countries mentioned above.

To reset your password:

1. From the main menu, click on (Sign In), then click on (?) 
2. Write your e-mail registered in the application 
3. You will receive an email with a verification code 
4. Enter the verification code in the application and enter your new password.

Is my membership valid in other cities or countries?

ekar membership is valid only in the city of Riyadh and Jeddah will be activated in other cities of the Kingdom soon.

How can I update the expired (driving license / national ID card)?

To update the driving license, national ID card, or residency permit, call (920031219) or e-mail (help@ekar.sa)

How can I delete or cancel my ekar membership?

In case you want to delete your account or cancel your membership with ekar, call (920031219) or email help@ekar.sa

Notice: The deletion request will be made 30 days following the date of your last reservation, after paying all dues. Your membership will be suspended during the mentioned period.

Can my account be banned or suspended by ekar?

Yes, the user account may be banned or suspended for the following reasons:

1. If there are unpaid due amounts.
2. If the submitted documents are expired.
3. If you breach the terms and conditions of ekar membership.
4. If you misuse the vehicles.
5. Your account will be suspended temporarily for the maximum of 72 hours until the investigations into the accident are finished. If it is established that the accident resulted from bad driving, the account will be completely banned.
